After winning the first and second T20 matches by six wickets each, Team India defeated Afghanistan by double super over in the third T20. Thanks to Rohit Sharma’s 121 runs and Rinku Singh’s brilliant innings of 69 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, India put a strong score of 212 runs on the board after losing four wickets.
In reply, Afghanistan also scored 212 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs, thereby tying the match and entering the Super Over stage. In the first super over, both the teams scored 16-16 runs, while in the second super over, India scored 11 runs. In reply, Afghanistan could score only one run, due to which India won the match.

India won the toss and batted first and scored 212 runs losing four wickets in the first 20 overs. Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh performed brilliantly at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. At one point, India had lost four wickets for 22 runs, which included Yashasvi Jaiswal (4 runs) and Shivam Dubey (1 run).

Afghanistan wanted to achieve a strong target of 213 runs and their captains Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz made a good start. Both made a partnership of 93 runs.
This partnership was broken by Kuldeep Yadav, who dismissed Gurbaz by giving him a catch. Gurbaz scored 50 runs in 32 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes. Meanwhile, before getting out, Zadran scored 50 runs in 41 balls with the help of four fours and one six. Azmatullah Umarzai could not open his account.
Mohammad Nabi played a stormy innings for Afghanistan and turned the match towards Afghanistan by scoring 34 runs in just 16 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes.
