Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first; however, this decision did not prove to be successful as India posted a total of 251 runs, losing 7 wickets in the process. In reply, the Bangladesh team could only muster 167 runs, resulting in a loss for them in the match.

IND vs BAN U19: The Indian Under-19 cricket team has started the 2024 World Cup on a winning note, securing an 84-run victory over Bangladesh in their opening match. Opting to bat first, India posted a total of 251 runs, losing seven wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Adarsh Singh emerged as the top scorer for India with an impressive 76 runs, while Captain Uday Saharan contributed 64 runs. Sachin Dhas and Priyanshu-Avinish chipped in with 26 and 23 runs, respectively. Bangladesh’s Maroof Mridha claimed five wickets. In response, Bangladesh managed to reach only 167 runs in 45.5 overs.
Mohammad Sihab James top-scored for Bangladesh with 54 runs, and Ariful Islam contributed 41 runs. Soumya Pandey led the Indian bowling attack with four wickets, supported by two wickets from Musheer Khan. Raj Limbani, Arshin Kulkarni, and Priyanshu Moliya each secured one wicket.
