Under-19 Asia Cup final: Ashikur Rahman’s splendid innings, his second century in the tournament, saw him scoring 129 runs off 149 deliveries as an opening batsman, including 12 boundaries and one six. Bangladesh posted a commanding score of 282 runs, losing 8 wickets. In response, the UAE team struggled against the trio of Maruf Mridha, Ikbal Hussain Emon, and Rohanat Dola Borshon.
The left-arm quick bowlers delivered exceptional performances, and the UAE team got all out for just 87 runs in 24.5 overs. Maruf Mridha claimed three wickets for 29 runs, Ikbal Hussain Emon secured two wickets for 15 runs, and Rohanat Dola Borshon took three wickets for 26 runs.
Bangladesh’s off-spinner Sheikh Parvez Jibon, contributing with seven runs and two wickets, put immense pressure on the UAE’s batting lineup. Dhruv Parashar was the only one to reach 25 runs for the UAE, while the rest of the batsmen failed to make significant contributions.
